My coaching practice is built on more than offering you strategies or solutions. I’ve created it as a space for you to feel truly seen, held, and supported. It is the most important gift I can give to you. No one arrives wanting to find a better relationship, or reconnect with who they are, without it requiring a deep journey into the roots of themselves and their challenges. I simply do not offer behavioural change as a stand-alone outcome, and I don’t believe lasting change can occur without an approach that cares for the whole person. We focus on…
This morning, I issued an invitation to the universe, for it to come find me where I am. I am not lost, I am simply here. I have known for a while that my biggest need, right now, is to remain in the present moment. It’s a need to hold a deep awareness, a genuine appreciation, for what is happening within my inner space, now. It has meant removing myself from social media, declining any distractions that come masquerading as entertainment, being clearer with boundaries. What I did today, during my meditation, was acknowledge my need to remove all…
Who did you give it to? Who took it from you? What illness, what husband, lover, boss, friend, stranger? How desperately do you want to heal? How consumed are you, with never letting it happen again? How consumed are you with understanding how it happened, at all?Action.Your answers are in action. There are people who stay stuck where you are for years. For decades.Don’t be one of them.
That person who doesn’t react as you expect them to.Who doesn’t cry when you, or the world, is drowning in tears.Who laughs because the irony and capriciousness of life presents itself again and again and again. In places you do not even know exist.Who weeps at joy instead of pain.Who stands back because they are already closer than you could ever imagine.Don’t judge them too harshly. They have worlds within them that will take you lifetimes to fathom. They have swum canyons of pain, until learning to float.Peace sits in the very centre of their chaos. And yours. They have reached through and…
Rather ask yourself…Do I WANT to feel anxious? Is my anxiety serving me?Will I accept this anxiety, or work to remove/reduce it?Will I attempt to plan my life, or wait to be told when I’m allowed to?Am I connecting with what’s available OR with what’s helping?Certainty is always an illusion. It’s NOT certainty you need. It’s the power to know that whatever happens, you’ve got this.Clients, you know I’m not about to enable you.You know I’m not about to feed your current state. If I did, I would expect you to fire me.So, my compassion will not be demonstrated by diving…
It’s true that many people experience their own spiritual awakenings in the aftermath of trauma. From a single life-changing incident, to the sudden implosion of a lifetime’s worth, trauma is a recognised gateway into the search for higher meaning. It’s the propelling force for some, to seek the purpose of existence and all manner of obligations that come with it. The irony of using traumatic experiences as catalysts however, is that as much as they crack you open, there’s a certain point on every journey where you have to let them go. It’s akin to bidding farewell to childhood and…
The passing of time does not erase your problems. It may bury them in reactions and patterns that help you to survive from day to day.But it does not heal experience, it integrates it.Rightly or wrongly, negatively or positively. Those experiences you never dealt with are still happening, right here, right now. Time isn’t linear, we simply organise it that way, so it makes sense. But healing doesn’t need to make sense.Healing is in recognising the symptoms that time has integrated and severing the roots perpetuating them.Healing works on the now, because the past is now. It never left.
At some point during our session you’re going to feel uncomfortable. Really uncomfortable. You’re going feel vulnerable AF and wonder why the hell you started this, if it’s actually worth it.You’re going to wonder for a split second about the best way to get out of the conversation, then you’ll remember you can’t and that you actually paid for this. Then you’ll probably sigh, look up, and start thinking about how to answer the question. And you’ll do it honestly, openly. You’ll stop caring about what I might think of you, or how surprised you imagine I’m going to be.You’ll push through and…
Pace it forward. Where are the holes? Where are the shadows that will send you straight back to square one? Generational deprogramming, patterns & clarity work, will give you a vast understanding of your behaviours and thoughts. It’s in setting outcomes and looking forwards that you’ll be able to glimpse any shadows still lurking.
If anything became apparent to me during 2020, it was the sheer dependency the vast majority of human beings have on their physical world. To most this will appear an odd thing to write, of course we depend on our physical world, it’s well, the world. But this superficial understanding of what it means to live and truly thrive, or merely survive, is part of the fallout I witnessed so clearly. I hadn’t realised before, the full extent to which members of society will follow each other over cliff edges, both emotionally and mentally, whilst doing next to zero independent…
Affirmations are the start of a journey. If you don’t already have a muscle of self-affirming inner talk, affirmations may begin to build and strengthen it. For some, it’s as far as you will go. And it may be enough. For those who are willing, ready, you can lay aside the affirmations, the mirror talk, and acknowledge the shadow creating a need for them. You can bring that darkness into the light. For you, concealing truth will not work.Your affirmations will feel like a fine layer of mesh. And you know, it’s not going to hold.Clearing the actual shadow being masked is the…
You need to pay attention to the residue that ‘no’ leaves behind in you. Saying ‘no’ and feeling guilty about letting someone down, or hurting someone’s feelings, is not experiencing the full power of your right to say ‘yes’ to yourself.Saying ‘no’ and over compensating, or feeling obliged to ‘make it up to someone’, is not standing in the full power of making decisions that are best for you.Saying ‘no’ and thinking you have, as a consequence, missed out on an opportunity, is denying your intuition the grace to stand firm in its power. It’s not enough to just say no.It’s…
