My coaching practice is built on more than offering you strategies or solutions. I’ve created it as a space for you to feel truly seen, held, and supported. It is the most important gift I can give to you. No one arrives wanting to find a better relationship, or reconnect with who they are, without it requiring a deep journey into the roots of themselves and their challenges. I simply do not offer behavioural change as a stand-alone outcome, and I don’t believe lasting change can occur without an approach that cares for the whole person. We focus on…
This morning, I issued an invitation to the universe, for it to come find me where I am. I am not lost, I am simply here. I have known for a while that my biggest need, right now, is to remain in the present moment. It’s a need to hold a deep awareness, a genuine appreciation, for what is happening within my inner space, now. It has meant removing myself from social media, declining any distractions that come masquerading as entertainment, being clearer with boundaries. What I did today, during my meditation, was acknowledge my need to remove all…
Meditative, I bid the universe, show me something beautiful. I needed nothing else, and so I gifted free reign to an experience of wonder. Show me, something beautiful. Immediately, night sky. I, standing level with it, penthouse view. Lights shining beneath, far, wide. Yellow, red, in windows, towers, streets. A galaxy of lives. My guides, they said, “This is what we see, this is the view we have. When you’re down beneath, thinking your problems are huge, confused about your next move, whether to leave a light [emotion, feeling, thought, action] on or turn it off, we’re…
I was speaking with a friend about love. I don’t remember the exact context, or how the conversation began, but it had roots in love being the peak experience of life, of it being what helps to turn the world most harmoniously on its axis. We noted that the love must be unconditional, and then we stopped, because what does this even mean? We use the phrase all the time within relationships, but which of us has stopped to really define our own individual understanding? When we talk about love, the type that arrives with conditions and the type…
Delegate your need to be accepted. Throw it out the door, to be received by someone who is good at catching and loving the things you no longer require. Give away your need to do and say the right thing, and let it be nurtured by another who, is in love with the ego and all efforts required to maintain it. Make space, and lift the weight of what is expected from you – that thing that is expected before you have even decided what is right for you. Focus on what is in front of you, discard everything behind…
Dragonflies appeared in my meditation this month, a symbol of transformation. The message is that transformation is available at every turn, every juncture in your life. If you spend your days waiting for tiny gifts, small mercies or offerings to appease a doubtful or broken soul, nothing bigger will fit onto the stage you have set. Don’t look to change, look to transform. Don’t look to grow, look to break through. Don’t look to survive, look to live. To live in the most glorious and unimaginable way possible. Because you have probably imagined it, at least once in your life.
One thing this month. One thing. If there is one thing you must do, failing all else and without negotiation or exception, what is it? What is it you choose to improve, to fix, clear, make or be? One thing. What requires your commitment through beginning, middle and end – requires embedding or finessing? Don’t play small. Don’t pick something that will slightly improve your life. Play big. Big change is born from subtle moves, too. It’s day one. Decide. Tell a single person. Tell me. Follow through.
This year, take the radical step of identifying the people in your life who are problem-heavy. People for whom most exchanges with you present as an opportunity to discuss problems they have no real intention of fixing. People who cannot see you clearly through their own looping story of self-pity. Stand strong in the knowledge that the problems you have are being worked on, and shared with a select few for whom the exchange of growth and recognition is mutual. Take less comfort in company that allows you to stay hidden. Company so self-indulgent that it asks you no questions,…
For some of us, the ability to tune into our auras or consciously use our intuition is a natural part of life. We’re more sensitive to the energy and intentions moving in and out of our field, more aware of what jars with us in any given moment. Occasionally, this gift is born through trauma, the legacy of one’s survival being dependent on hyper alertness. Other times, our intuition and auric sensitivity is something we have proactively honed, taking the time to rediscover latent and powerful talents. Developing the connection you have to your space will mean different results for…
Muse on the elements and what they mean to you. Then go wider… expand. The world would have you focus on water, fire, earth, air. But what love have you shared with the minerals? The stones, rocks, pebbles – the ones at your feet daily? They may not have the shine or glint of crystals, may not have the expensive price tag or cult following, but they are the memory, the bones of the earth. When you feel called to ground, look to the ground. When you’re in need of remembrance, reach to them for guidance. In times to forget,…
You have been asked to birth greatness and your first response, is to cry out for another. Another person, another woman, another soul. You have been called to birth brilliance and so you search for a wise feminine; a she sublime, a she capable, a she strong enough to bear the weight of power surging within you. You look around for the doula, creativity dammed at your roots, eager to flow through the vessel of one fit to withstand its force. You search for the doula, until the message comes, loud, in your quietness, No more humans. No more humans. No more other. Only us. Until…
Within our society there is a prevailing belief system that some of us follow with near-religious commitment. It’s the belief that positivity is fundamental to emotional stability, that with a positive mental attitude we can overcome, or at very least numb ourselves to, a majority of life’s challenges. When misfortune materialises – a relationship ended, a job lost, an illness discovered – the go-to response toward another person is a mix of empathy and sympathy. We clearly connect with the wider landscape of what emotional or physical loss means, its impact on one’s life and the difficult prospects involved in…
